Play days

Approximately twice a year we host a play day based at a venue in the south Manchester area. We welcome members and non-members to come together and play some musical gems from the classical repertoire. It’s an informal day punctuated by our all-important social coffee break as well as an hour for lunch.

Dates for 2025-2026 Season

Our next play day will be on Saturday 4th October at St Matthew’s Community Hall, Chapel Lane, Stretford, M32 9AJ. MBO welcomes musicians to join us to play Beethoven’s 7th Symphony and Mendelssohn’s Hebrides Overture.

The play day costs £8 which includes light refreshments. Players are asked to bring a stand and may wish to bring a packed lunch although there are food outlets available nearby.
