Orchestral Day with Schubert and Haydn
The Manchester Beethoven Orchestra is organising a playday at The Parish Hall at Urmston (St Clements), Stretford Rd, M41 9JZ, on Saturday 27th February from 9.30am until 4.30pm. The cost will be only £5 for each participant which will include tea and coffee (please bring a packed lunch and a music stand).
The day will be spent working on Schubert’s Symphony No. 6 and Haydn’s Symphony No. 103 (The Drumroll) and will culminate in a full playthrough of at least one of these works.
Who is this for?
The event is open to all but is ideally suited to:
Regular members of the orchestra are welcome to this event, but we hope also to see players of all ages who would like to join us for the day, regardless of experience. This is a great opportunity to dust off your instrument and enjoy making music in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. We are hoping that this will turn out to be an exciting inter-generational event.
